about

This DEMO was intended as an album to be released many times before but the recorded songs got lost and some of the files even got broken (some songs published here are patched up).

Log &c.:

The original release date was set for 2008 while working on the songs and a clandestine "photo-shoot" was took at a semi-abandoned property in the countryside of Chascomús, BA. [May be included as Bonus Items later.]

Track #1, #2 & #3 were originally recorded and mixed somewhere between 2007 and 2010. Tracks #4 & #5 between 2010 and 2014, the later being the tentative release of the first four finished songs before the master copies got lost.

Tracks #6 & #7 were recorded in 2018 and added to this issue as intro and outro respectively before being repurposed as the album's last two (& more ambient) BONUS tracks.

Track #3, "The Return of the Black King" was later re-recorder in a Norwegian language version under the name "Den Svarte Kongen Kommer Tilbake" and it was then published on October 25th, 2019 as part of the concept album "Restaurering av Europeisk Magi".

Track #4, "Fire of Life" is a Black Metal cover of the original song by American Neofolk legendary duo Changes. This being the only track on this album to have actually seen light, being officially featured in the noise scene compilation "V/A. OutSiders 001" released by Argentina Harsh Noise Crew on April 1st, 2016.

Track #5, "Mourning Soul" is a very raw cover from the original song by German band Absurd.

Track #6, "Óró! Sé do Bheatha Abhaile" is an Irish traditional song.

Track #7, "The Parting Glass" is a Scottish traditional song.

The lyrics of Sølvgråbein's original tracks were lost yet some are easily guessable, some aren't.
